The “Orchard Orphans” is a project of passion for one of our volunteer couples. They have been feeding and caring for the offspring of dogs left behind in the orchards when the migrant farm workers were displaced many years ago. They have trapped, altered the population, found homes for a few but most are too feral for adoption so returned to their orchard.

This has all been done with their own personal money and the blessing of the land owner. We know this area is a dumping ground for unwanted animals so we are always looking for donations to keep this program running. Many of the dumped are puppies unable to save themselves from the wild animals that also live there.
